Hello, my name is Edward Thompson, and I created ScamNavigator to provide private scam victim support for people who feel lost in the uncertainty of online deception.
I am originally from the United Kingdom and hold two law degrees. My legal education provided a strong foundation in structured thinking, evidence awareness, and understanding how formal systems operate — skills that are especially valuable when helping individuals untangle complex and emotionally charged situations.
Before founding ScamNavigator, I worked internationally, including in Russia and other cross-border environments where online scams, identity deception, and romance fraud were common concerns. During this time, I supported clients from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand who suspected they were being misled online or involved in romance scams.
I helped them review digital interactions, recognize manipulation tactics, identify warning signs, and organize information to better understand what was truly happening.
Through this experience, I developed focused expertise in cybercrime patterns, online deception methods, and scam-victim support. I have seen firsthand how sophisticated and emotionally persuasive scammers can be — and how confusing and isolating it often feels for those affected.
Today, my role through ScamNavigator is straightforward:
To help you make sense of your situation, recognize common scam tactics, organize your information, and understand typical next steps that scam victims explore — privately, respectfully, and without judgment.
My Approach
Calm and non-judgmental
Structured and practical
Focused on clarity, not blame
Supportive, never pressuring
You do not need to explain everything perfectly.
You do not need to feel embarrassed.
You simply need a safe space to talk and think clearly again.
My work focuses on structured scam victim support, helping individuals recognize manipulation patterns and regain clarity.
